MerchandiseVend (Shopping Cart Software)
MerchandiseVend is a collection of AJAX compatible ASP.NET 2.0 server controls aimed at musicians which provide shopping cart facilities for selling merchandise (CD's, T-Shirts etc.) via any ASP.NET 2.0 web site.
The controls have been produced to keep the amount of user code down to an absolute minimum. In fact in most cases only a few properties need to be set in order to use the controls. The full workflow of presenting merchandise for sale is catered for from uploading image files to a web server to reviewing details of orders placed. Payment processing is carried out via PayPal (utilising Instant Payment Notification) and as such a PayPal account is required for receiving funds.

MerchandiseVend web server controls can be used with any of the Microsoft Visual Studio web development environments including the free Visual Web Developer Express Edition. The MerchandiseVend installer is free to download and contains a sample web site and documentation. A development license is required in order to use the controls in a development environment and costs £48. In order to obtain a license simply register via this website.
